APPA: Americans spent almost 4% more on pets in 2012

Americans spend more than $52 billion every year on their pets, and APPA estimates pet spending increased by 3.8% in 2012. "Pet owners reward their pets and purchase holiday gifts for them in even the toughest of economic times," APPA President Bob Vetere said.
