Stem cell study shows promise for tissue regeneration

U.S. scientists modified the surface of adult stem cells to direct them through the bloodstream into the bone, where they matured into new bone cells. Navigating the cells to a chosen location is "a necessary first step toward achieving tissue regeneration," the study's lead author said.
