ACC: Study linking BPA to heart disease is "very limited"

A study by U.K. researchers found evidence linking high levels of bisphenol A to risks of heart disease, diabetes and increased liver enzymes. The American Chemistry Council said the study provides "very limited" insight about the effects of BPA exposure. Although studies of this type "can provide helpful information on where to focus future research, by themselves they cannot and should not be used to demonstrate that a particular chemical can cause a particular effect," ACC's Steven Hentges said.
