Ky. may toughen penalties for public-transit crimes

A measure that would toughen penalties against criminals who attack public-transit drivers and passengers has been introduced in Kentucky. "Many times our transit workers are so isolated in what they do. They're on a bus or in a taxi in many, many parts of our town with not much defense," Rep. Joni Jenkins says.
