Renesas Mobile processor for LTE is touted for energy efficiency

Renesas Mobile plans to introduce the MP6530 quad-core processor, which has a built-in Long-Term Evolution modem, according to Will Strauss of Forward Concepts. The chip apparently has two Cortex-A15 cores and two Cortex-A7 cores designed by ARM Holdings, using the "big-little" architecture that ARM has touted for its greater energy efficiency.
