Should you embrace Big Data or trust your gut?

Bosses can't use Big Data as a substitute for instinctive, intuition-based decision-making, says Erik Brynjolfsson, director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Digital Business. Data-based analyses are increasingly playing a key role in strategic decisions. "There is going to have to be a balance. But it strikes me, over and over, that a data-driven approach seems to be winning much more," Brynjolfsson says.
