House panel asks current, ex-CEOs to explain pay packages

A House of Representatives committee has asked Angelo Mozilo, CEO of Countrywide Financial Corp., former Citigroup CEO Charles Prince and former Merrill Lynch CEO Stanley O'Neal to testify regarding their compensation and severance packages. Henry Waxman, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said the Feb. 7 hearing was part of an "ongoing investigation into executive pay."
