Japan to reconsider status of Sri Lanka aid

The end of a shaky six-year ceasefire and the looming threat of wider violence in Sri Lanka might lead Japan to review its aid to the country, Japan's peace envoy to Sri Lanka said. Japan is Sri Lanka's largest foreign donor, providing more than $9 billion in funding since 1985.
