S.F. transit lets riders pay via cell phones

San Francisco's public-transit agency will experiment with allowing riders to pay using Sprint mobile phones that contain a special microchip that acts like a debit card. The agency, BART, has plans to recruit 300 riders in the test that will run from January to March.
