Navteq study: Nearly half of U.S. consumers using nav systems

Nearly half of all U.S. consumers -- 48% of them -- now use navigational devices such as PNDs, in-dash nav systems and mobile-phone-based mapping tools, according to a survey by Navteq. That's a big jump from just a couple of years ago: The company reported that 22% of U.S. consumers used navigational devices in 2006.
