FMLA's retaliation definition is expanded by federal court

A ruling by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals interpreted the definition of retaliatory action under the Family and Medical Leave Act to include letters of reprimand. "If other federal appeals courts continue to adopt this broader definition, more employers may find themselves involved in litigation," attorney R. Michelle Tatum wrote in a blog post quoted by this article.
