Adverse market conditions force Neb. ethanol plant to go on hiatus

The Abengoa Bioenergy ethanol plant in Ravenna, Neb., will temporarily suspend operations starting this week because of unfavorable market conditions, said Executive Vice President Chris Standlee. "In the last year or two in the ethanol industry, a lot of plants have either done temporary shutdowns or slowdowns. It's a difficult market," Standlee said.
