More than 80% of shoppers surveyed worldwide by IBM said that they made their most recent purchases in bricks-and-mortar stores, and half of them said that they would make their next purchases at a physical retail outlet. More than one-third said they weren't sure if they would go back to a bricks-and-mortar store or shop online for their next purchases, with 9% reporting that they were definitely headed to the Web, according to IBM.
