KC-46 aerial tanker program is vulnerable to budget cuts

Both a smaller-than-expected 2013 budget and the threat of sequestration may force the Pentagon to reconsider its deal with Boeing for the new KC-46 aerial tanker, this feature says. The Air Force program has half of its needed funding for the year, and future budget cuts could cause the Defense Department to renegotiate what experts say is a very Pentagon-favorable contract.
