U.S. appeals court stands by decision allowing E15 sale

A federal appeals court tossed out petitions filed by oil and food industry groups challenging the Environmental Protection Agency's decision to allow E15 into the market. The petitioners, including the American Petroleum Institute, pledged to continue their efforts to dismantle the Renewable Fuel Standard, which API called "unworkable." Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association, dismissed API's comments, saying the RFS is a "proven success" and a "highly flexible, effective, proven energy policy."
