Tensions high as Sudan's president awaits verdict on arrest warrant

Tensions are high as Sudanese officials await the outcome of the International Criminal Court's request for a warrant for the arrest of President Omar al-Bashir on charges of genocide. The decision is expected at the end of this month and has been the subject of controversy over the political reality of the court and issuing a warrant for a dangerous sitting leader. Bashir arrested opposition leader Hassan al-Turabi after the latter called for Bashir to step down.
