Employers must prepare for fee regulations

Retirement-plan rules that take effect this year will impose more responsibilities for companies that offer 401(k) plans. Employers will have to review the fees each plan discloses to ensure that employees are paying "reasonable compensation," John Rich Jr. writes. Plan participants also will receive detailed information about the funds and their fees. Employers should prepare for workers who have questions about the disclosures, Rich writes.
