Apple retail executive steps down

Apple's vice president of retail Jerry McDougal resigned Tuesday to spend more time with his family, sources said. McDougal had been considered by many as the executive most likely to take over running the division, a post held by Ron Johnson until he left last year to become CEO of J.C. Penney.
