Some venture capital firms are providing work space for entrepreneurs-in-residence in exchange for the inside track on potentially lucrative investment opportunities. The arrangement might also provide entrepreneurs with a sense of legitimacy and other support. "Working at a venture firm, I am getting real strategic advice, and that's not something I could get playing in my own sandbox," said Aarthi Ramamurthy, who is working on an e-commerce startup.
