Firm launches study of mitral regurgitation device

Phoenix Cardiac Devices has begun patient enrollment in a clinical study of its Bace system, which is used to treat mitral regurgitation without the need for open-heart procedures. The trial, which will involve 60 patients from Europe and India, will be used to help the company obtain CE mark approval for the device in Europe.
