John Mackey vs. the octopus suppliers

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey took a hard line with his suppliers when it came to cleaning up the company's seafood supply chain. Suppliers of overfished species such as octopus were forced to mark their products as "unsustainable" until they found more responsible fishing methods. "You lose some business that way," Mackey says. "But it was the right thing to do."
