Railroads to capture more oil shipments from Bakken region

Crude oil shipments are being shifted from pipelines to freight rail, including BNSF, in the Bakken shale play due to how efficiently they can reach new markets, according to Flint Hills Resources. "This trend is not temporary," the refining company said. "Rail transportation is becoming more competitive and will continue to take barrels away from the Enbridge North Dakota system."
