Study: Socioeconomic status plays role in diabetes mortality

Diabetes patients with lower levels of education and income-to-poverty ratio showed a higher mortality risk than those with the highest levels, a study in Diabetes Care revealed. Researchers also found a higher mortality risk in patients who lacked certain types of financial wealth than in patients who had them.
