Maryland sex-education battle moves to courts

Critics of Montgomery County schools' new sex-education curriculum, which includes discussion of homosexuality, are arguing that the lessons are illegal because state law requires class material be "factually accurate." Teaching students that homosexuality is innate, lawyers for the religiously conservative opponents say, is inaccurate; school district lawyers said the opponents are inappropriately trying to gain editorial control over school curriculum.
