Research says statins do not reduce Alzheimer's risk

A new study found patients who took statins were just as likely to develop Alzheimer's disease as those who did not take the cholesterol-lowering drugs. This contradicts previous reports suggesting statins may slow down or prevent the neurodegenerative disease.
