E-commerce transforms small Chinese village

Qingyanliu Village in the Zhejiang Province of east China is known as the country's No. 1 e-commerce village because it has many of the leading stores on Taobao in terms of transactions. Qingyanliu villagers took in about $121 million from e-commerce in 2009. "E-commerce has changed the lifestyle of our village. Instead of tending to our fields, we now use keyboards and mouse clicks to make money," said Liu Wengao of the local e-commerce association.
