Beef prices set to rise on lower supply

Lower supply and greater global demand will lead to higher beef prices this year, putting further pressure on restaurants that saw beef prices climb as much as 10% last year. Last summer's drought in Texas led to smaller herds, and beef exports rose 19% in the four weeks ended Jan. 5.
