The Canadian National Railway plans to buy a system that will send train crossing data to 9-1-1 dispatchers for the Illinois towns of Frankfort, Mokena and New Lenox. Dispatchers will know train locations and when warning devices and crossing gates are active so that emergency response vehicles can be routed around them.
