Cookstove initiative targets self-employed women

A trade union in India has been helping poor, self-employed women to replace traditional cookstoves with energy-efficient models that improve health. "Before having this stove, if I had to cook, I would have needed at least 10 pounds of wood, and my kitchen would be completely filled with smoke," said one recipient.
