Covidien's device to treat hypertension makes global debut

Covidien has introduced the OneShot Renal Denervation System, which is targeted for distribution in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East in the coming months. The balloon catheter, which has yet to obtain U.S. regulatory approval, is implanted below the skin and uses radiofrequency energy to treat patients with high blood pressure.
