EPA's draft fracking report draws criticism from Sen. Vitter

The Environmental Protection Agency's draft report that linked water contamination to hydraulic fracturing is marred by political motives and poor science, said Sen. David Vitter, R-La. His remarks came after the agency extended for the third time its comment period for the study. "Immediately upon its initial release, serious substantive concerns were raised, not only in regard to the quality of the science and methodology used by EPA, but also as to the findings and conclusions drawn from that flawed data and process," Vitter said.
