FAA is looking at battery manufacturer for 787 fires

The Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing are studying batteries from the same batch as a possible cause of fires aboard the 787. The batteries were manufactured by a Japanese firm, GS Yuasa Corp. "Nobody knows what the fix is because they don't know what the problem is," said John Goglia, who is a former member of the National Transportation Safety Board.
