Utah teacher secures grant to support project-based learning

An elementary-school teacher in Utah recently secured a $1,500 grant to purchase hands-on science technology aimed at improving student achievement. The funds from the 100% for Kids Credit Union Education Foundation -- which has donated $5 million to schools since 2002 -- are intended to help support inquiry-based instruction and project-based learning.
