Pennsylvania health reform plan includes boost for NPs

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell on Wednesday unveiled his health care plan for the state, proposing to expand affordable health insurance options and eventually require all state residents to have coverage. The plan also would grant nurse practitioners and other licensed health care providers the ability to practice to the fullest extent of their training, in an effort to increase access to care.
