Bonuses for Georgia's National Board Certified Teachers in jeopardy

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue has proposed a state budget that would eliminate $12 million in bonuses for teachers who earn National Board Certification. The governor's proposed budget for this year includes $350 million less for K-12 education, and next year's includes another $275 million in cuts, including the elimination of cost-of-living raises from the state for teachers.
