Most of the 156 doctors responding to a Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative survey said they find it challenging to deploy EHRs in their practices, and that difficulty is felt more by physician owners than non-owners. The results, published in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, suggest the need for groups looking to broaden their health IT use to concentrate on physician owners' needs, while recognizing the role of non-physician staffers.
