Teacher: Quebec's educators need time for extra duties

High-school teacher Robert Green responds to recent claims that teachers in Quebec will be paid more to supervise extracurricular activities, by calling the extra pay a "pittance". He writes that schools in the French system factor extracurricular duties into teachers' workloads, while those in the English system do not. Green writes that, while he supports proposed peer-to-peer training among teachers, teachers also must be given additional time to engage in such professional development.
