Toronto, Ontario, seeks to engage students through academies

Toronto, Ontario, schools will focus on student "engagement" through the establishment of specialised academies in existing schools. The academies, two of which will enrol students of a single gender, will focus on music, health and sports. Officials say they hope the academies, which are expected to open in September, will help address disengagement among the city's students.
