Word-of-mouth-marketing accounts for two-thirds of sales, yet most companies don't have a strategy for acquiring referrals, writes Chris Hamilton, sales and marketing consultant. Getting more referrals can be as simple as letting people know what you do, asking customers to share their impression of your business or being a business willing to refer others, he writes.
