India hospital uses "Chitti" robot to check on patients

Sri Ramachandra University hospital in India will send a robot called Chitti to check on ICU patients, run tests and communicate with physicians if there is an emergency. Chitti has video conferencing capabilities, and while it is not meant as a replacement for physicians and nurses, it does allow them to communicate more easily and could help ease staff shortages, one expert said.
