Obama administration sees parental controls as key

Although the White House would like to see more research done on violence in movies, TV and video games and its "impacts of young minds," the administration has received a pledge of cooperation from the entertainment industry to better publicize parental-control tools, according to Vice President Joe Biden. The leadership of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, the National Association of Broadcasters and other groups "seem intent on doing what they can do to help," Biden said Thursday to the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
