Schools seek to curb spread of rumors online

Educators in Minnesota say that minor incidents increasingly are being blown out of proportion online, and rumors are spreading at a faster rate than ever before with the help of social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Now, educators say they are seeking to harness social media in a positive way, to communicate true information about schools just as quickly.
