Study: Abnormalities found by CT do not prevent kidney donation

A study of potential kidney donors found that 25% of the subjects showed at least one abnormality through routine computed tomography scanning, but only 6.7% were prevented from donating. While the imaging results were not considered harmful enough to prevent kidney donation, their clinical importance needs to be determined through further studies, the researchers said.
