Online clubs thriving at cyber schools

Online schools are sponsoring "virtual" clubs and real-world field trips to give their students social outlets and to diversify their learning experience. At the Florida Virtual School, for example, students in the Science Club collaborate over the Internet to prepare projects for the state Science Olympiad and never meet in person until the actual day of the event.
