EMR data are used to identify heart failure chances

A new tool from Humedica identifies patients at risk of congestive heart failure by analyzing clinical data pulled from electronic medical records. Each year, 500,000 new cases of CHF are diagnosed in the U.S., and the disease is a leading cause of preventable hospital admissions. Humedica says EMRs create a faster model than relying on claims data.
