The oil industry wants to dismantle the Renewable Fuel Standard, a move that would hinder innovation and further the country's reliance on fossil fuels, writes Jim Lane. The oil industry's arguments for repealing the RFS "are indicative of shortsighted thinking, aimed at preservation, not innovation," said Jan Koninckx, DuPont's global business director for biofuels.
