Guy Day, who in 1968 co-founded agency Chiat/Day, died Saturday at age 77. The agency is known for its groundbreaking campaign for Apple, whose "1984" Super Bowl spot helped transform the big game into a showcase event for marketers, and its iconic effort for Absolut, the success of which helped establish a market for upscale imported vodkas in the U.S.
