CARB needs to update ILUC values in fuels standard, RFA says

The Renewable Fuels Association is asking the California Air Resources Board to update the indirect land use change analysis for ethanol and other fuels in its low-carbon fuels standard to reflect the best available science. A new analysis has determined that the carbon intensity of corn ethanol is up to 38% lower than the value currently assigned by CARB, RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen wrote in a letter to CARB Chairwoman Mary Nichols.
