Short-, long-term optimism for U.S. refining

The refining sector will continue to expand, but even the most expansive projections for additional global supply should not harm the market for U.S. exports, according to analysts. "I'm optimistic that the refining business in the United States is going to continue to benefit," said Andrew Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates. Meanwhile, the expansion of the Seaway Pipeline is complete, linking the Gulf Coast with Cushing, Okla., and likely changing market dynamics, experts say.
