Verizon ordered to identify swapper

A judge ordered Verizon Communications to turn over identifying documents about one of its customers to the Recording Industry Association of America. The ruling may lend greater ability to entertainment companies to target individual file-swappers. An attorney for Verizon said the decision "will have a chilling effect on private communications, such as e-mail [and] surfing the Internet."
